Speaking ahead of the clash, Nairobi United head coach Nicholas Muyoti expressed confidence but warned of the surprises Bidco could spring, stating that his team is solely focused on securing all three points.
“We know Bidco’s confidence will be high for this match. They may not be the most consistent side, but we are aware they can pull off surprises. We are preparing for that in training and are ready for the challenge,” Muyoti told the club’s media.
Ovella Ochieng, the team’s lone goalscorer in their top-flight debut, echoed his coach’s sentiments, insisting the squad is targeting nothing less than a victory.
“Bidco is a tricky opponent, but I am confident we will prevail because we have built good momentum. On Monday, we are going for nothing short of a win,” Ovella explained.
