  • Kenya Police Bullets have confirmed their group-stage opponents for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers.
  • The reigning Kenyan champions will headline Group A, where they are set to face Denden FC of Eritrea- making their tournament debut and Kampala Queens from Uganda.
  • Nairobi will host the regional showdown, with matches scheduled to take place at Ulinzi Sports Complex and Nyayo National Stadium from September 4th to 16th, 2025.

Reigning Kenya Women’s Premier League champions Kenya Police Bullets have discovered their group-stage rivals for the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers 2025.

Kenya will host the prestigious regional tournament in Nairobi with matches scheduled to take place from September 4 to 16 at Ulinzi Sports Complex and the Nyayo National Stadium. A total of nine teams are expected to participate in this year’s qualifiers.

Kenya Police Bullets Headline Group A where they have been drawn against debutants Denden FC from Eritrea and regional contenders Kampala Queens from Uganda.

In Group B, defending champions Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) lead the pool as they aim to retain their title and become the first side to win back-to-back titles.

They are set to face Top Girls Academy FC from Burundi and Rayon Sports WFC of Rwanda.

Group C features JKT Queens of Tanzania, who will battle it out with JKU SCZ of Zanzibar and YEI Joint Stars from South Sudan.

Kenya Police Bullets will be especially motivated this year, following last season’s narrow 1-0 defeat to CBE in the final held in Ethiopia.

That loss dashed their hopes of a maiden appearance at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

However, with home advantage this time, they will be aiming for redemption and a historic breakthrough.

The winner of the CECAFA qualifiers will earn the right to represent the region at the CAF Women’s Champions League 2025, which will take place later this year.

FKF NEC Women’s Representative Kerubo anticipates a thrilling showdown at CECAFA Qualifiers

Speaking during the official draw conducted in Nairobi on Tuesday, August 28, Violet Kerubo Momanyi, the Women’s Representative on the FKF National Executive Committee, expressed optimism about the level of competition.

We are looking forward to a very exciting tournament. We are thrilled to host it once again, and the teams are far more competitive than in 2022.

Since we last hosted, women’s football in the region has grown significantly, and I am eager to see what the teams will bring,” stated the FKF National Executive Committee member.

The last time we hosted, a Kenyan team advanced and won. I am optimistic that Kenya Police will replicate that success, harness the home support, and achieve a positive result. I truly hope this tournament serves as a stepping stone for these young players to build upon,” she added.
