- Strathmore Leos are the 2025 Prinsloo 7s winners thanks to a huge victory against KCB Rugby.
- The win saw the varsity side successfully defend the title they won in 2024.
- Catholic Monks defeated Menengai Oilers 17-10 to finish third in the tournament.
Strathmore Leos hammered KCB Rugby 26-7 to win the 2025 Prinsloo 7s main cup title on Sunday, August 3 in the second outing of the 2025 SportPesa National Sevens Circuit.
The varsity side showed their intent earlier in the first half when they scored four tries to take a considerable 26-7 lead in the game played at the Nakuru Athletic Club.
Victor Mola and Stanslaus Shikoli were the first to cross over the whitewash to give Leos a 12-0 lead.
KCB rugby managed to reduce the lead to 12-7 when they scored a try via Bob Muhati and made a successful conversion.

Mola extends Strathmore Leos’ lead in 2025 Prinsloo 7s final
However, their joy was short lived when Mola netted an instant try to increase Strathmore Leos lead to 19-7.
The talented side went on to score their fourth try of the day, which came through Barnabas Owuor, to end the first half with a well-deserved 26-7 lead.
Strathmore Leos continued with their good display at the start of the second half, causing their opponents constant problems.
The game was forced to be halted with about three minutes remaining to the end due to heavy rainfall, resulting in Strathmore Leos being declared the 2025 champions, successfully defendinging their title.
Elsewhere, Catholic Monks secured a 17-10 win over Menengai Oilers to finish third in the Prinsloo 7s 2025 final.

After two rounds of the 2025 SportPesa 7s Circuit, the tournament will take a one week break before resuming in Nairobi with the Christie 7s.
