He produced a classy performance in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over AC Milan on Wednesday, July 23 before playing an instrumental role to help the Gunners come from behind to beat Premier League rivals Newcastle 3-2 on Sunday, July 27.
The attacking midfielder made several good runs, penetrating the Newcastle defense with ease in the match that was staged at the Singapore National Stadium.
One of his runs led to a penalty which was converted by Martin Odegaard to win the game for Arsenal in the closing stages of the second half.

Max Robert Dowman is a 15-year-old player who plays for Premier League heavyweights Arsenal. He was born on 31/12, 2009 in Chelmsford, England.
Although he has played as a right winger in Arsenal’s 2025 pre-season matches, Dowman is an attacking midfielder. He has played the number 10 role for Arsenal youth teams in recent months.
The player, who currently dons the number 56 jersey, made his Arsenal U18 debut in September 2023 at the tender age of 13.

What next for Arsenal and Max Dowman?
Arsenal will travel to Hong Kong where they will play their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in another pre-season match.
The game, which will be played at the Kai Tak Sports Park is planned to take place on Thursday, July 31 from 14:30 PM East Africa Time (EAT).
The Gunners faithful will be hoping to see Arteta give Dowman more minutes in the clash against Tottenham and other upcoming pre-season matches to help him gain more experience and improve his game.
