CHAN 2024
  • The African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024) is set to kick off in less than two weeks.
  • Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will co-host the tournament from August 2 to August 30, 2025.
  • Kenya will host all Group A matches, with their fixtures scheduled to be played at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

The national men’s team, Harambee Stars, is gearing up for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, which is set to kick off in less than two weeks.

Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania are the three East African nations set to co-host the tournament, which features only players who play for local clubs.

The competition will run from August 2 to August 30.

Kenya, making their debut in the tournament, has been placed in Group A alongside two-time champions Morocco and DR Congo, as well as Zambia and Angola.

Harambee Stars to host CHAN 2024 fixtures at Kasarani Stadium

With preparations nearing completion, the group A matches will kick off on August 3, when host nation Kenya, making their CHAN debut, takes on two-time champions DR Congo at the refurbished Kasarani Stadium.

The match will begin at 3:00 PM EAT.

Later that evening, under the Nyayo Stadium floodlights, Morocco, also two-time titleholders, will launch their campaign against Angola at 6:00 PM.

Fans are encouraged to turn out in large numbers to support the Harambee Stars as they make their inaugural appearance in this prestigious tournament and as Kenya hosts CHAN for the first time in history.

  • DR Congo vs Zambia – Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi – 4:00 PM
  • Angola vs Kenya – Moi International Sports Centre, Nairobi – 7:00 PM

August 10, 2025 – Matchday 3

  • Kenya vs Morocco – Moi International Sports Centre, Nairobi – 3:00 PM
  • Zambia vs Angola – Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi – 6:00 PM

August 14, 2025 – Matchday 4

  • Morocco vs Zambia – Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi – 5:00 PM
  • Angola vs DR Congo – Moi International Sports Centre, Nairobi – 8:00 PM
