- Posta Rangers head coach Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo is set to overhaul his squad, phasing out players aged 30 and above.
- The decision comes after the team narrowly avoided relegation by defeating Naivas FC in the promotion playoffs.
Posta Rangers head coach Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo is preparing for a comprehensive squad overhaul, aiming to part ways with players aged 30 and above.
This strategic move is part of the club’s mission to implement impactful changes ahead of the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season.
The decision comes after the team survived relegation from the top tier league after beating National Super League side Naivas 2-1 aggregate in a two-legged relegation / promotion playoff.

According to Omollo, age was a significant factor in the team’s underwhelming performance last season, where they finished 16th with 35 points.
‘’I will first of all work on reducing the age limit. Last season, I had six players above 30 years old and this did not work well for us. I will trim out players above 30 years,’’ Omollo told Citizen didgital.
The former Gor Mahia tactician explained that older players often fatigued during the second halves of matches, diminishing the team’s overall energy and competitiveness.

He emphasized the need for a rejuvenated, youthful roster to enhance performance and consistency.
Omollo also revealed that striker Felix Oluoch is set to leave the club, confirming he will be joining Zimbabwean side Scotland FC.
He added that: ‘’My main striker Felix Oluoch is joining Zimbabwean side Scotland FC. He was our main striker, meaning we have to look for youthful goal poachers ahead of next season.”

Besides a lack of fresh talent, Omollo pointed out that financial constraints played a major role in the team’s struggles.
He expressed hope that the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) will step in to secure sponsors and help ease the club’s financial burden.
‘’Our financial muscle was weak last season and that is one other challenge we had. We hope Federation will bring on board a title sponsor. In addition, it would be healthy for us if we also get our shirt sponsor,” said Pamzo.
