Faith Cherotich eager to impress at Tokyo World Athletics Championships 2025
Cherotich revealed in a recent interview that she expects to perform better at the Tokyo World Athletics Championships 2025.
According to Cherotich, she has gained more experience from the international tournaments she has featured in since representing Kenya for the first time.
“It will be a different result this time in Tokyo. You know, I have been a junior coming to these events. But now, I am in my best form. I have something to build on. When I was running these junior championships, I gained confidence and started to believe in myself. So now, I can build on it,” she explained.

The 20-year-old runner will compete against a stellar field that has the likes of Uganda’s Peruth Chemutai and Ethiopia’s Sembo Almayew.
Norah Jeruto, who switched her allegiance from Kenya to Bahrain in 2022, Alice Finot (France), Lomi Muleta (Ethiopia), Courtney Wayment (USA) and Lea Meyer (Germany) were also in contention.
