As the FKF Premier League reaches the penultimate stage on Sunday, June 22, 2025, Emmanuel Osoro and FC Talanta continue to prepare for a monumental fixture against Murang’a SEAL.
Osoro, who recently helped Harambee Stars secure a 2-1 win against Chad in a friendly match staged in Morocco, is expected to play an instrumental role in the crunch clash that is scheduled to take place at the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a County from 3:00 pm local time.
The FC Talanta versus Murang’a SEAL game is an important one to Osoro because it could determine whether he walks home with the coveted FKF Premier League Golden Boot award as well as help his club avoid relegation.

Emmanuel Osoro eyes FKF Premier League Golden Boot award
The versatile attacker currently sits second in the competitive golden boot race with 16 goals, one less than Moses Shumah, who plays for Kakamega Homeboyz.
Therefore, an excellent outing against Murang’a SEAL could help Osoro finish as the FKF Premier League top scorer for the first time in his promising career.
Meanwhile, the FC Talanta camp will be hoping that Osoro discovers his goal scoring boots on Sunday to save them from being relegated to the FKF National Super League or taking part in the promotion/relegation play-off.
FC Talanta occupies the 14th position in the standings with 35 points, three more than the bottom side Bidco United.
On the other hand, Murang’a SEAL, who have accumulated 34 points since the start of the 2024-2025 season, are ranked 17th in the league that is made up of 18 clubs.
Therefore, anything less than a victory against Murang’a SEAL could be detrimental to FC Talanta.
Emmanuel Osoro and FC Talanta teammates focus on beating Murang’a SEAL
Speaking to SportPesa News in an exclusive interview, Osoro stated that he is capable of winning the Golden Boot award.
He also stressed on the importance of the match to him and his team mates, stating that they will do everything possible to stay in the FKF Premier League.
“Yeah, it is possible, because that is the last match of the season and it is very crucial to us. It matters a lot especially to the team. It is a very crucial game and it is the most important game in all the matches that we have played this season.
Therefore, that is a game that we need to work harder, we get good results. Our focus is to win that game. We are training hard to win that game because even a draw can’t help us,” he explained.
Emmanuel Osoro names an area where FC Talanta could have done better this season
When asked what has been their main challenge this season, the former Nzoia Sugar player stated it took longer for them to be solid at the back.
“We dropped so many points in the first leg because we used to concede many goals. We used to score goals but we couldn’t stop conceding. But in the second leg, at least we have rectified those mistakes,” ended Osoro.
