At the moment, all of these clubs, particularly Man City and Newcastle have a chance of finishing inside the top five positions.

Manchester City, who have won the Premier League title multiple times since 2020, sit third in the competitive table with 68 points.

Therefore, the Pep Guardiola coached side only needs a point to guarantee themselves a spot in next season’s Champions League because they have a huge goal difference compared to the rest of the contenders.

On the other hand, the trio of Newcastle United, Chelsea and Aston Villa occupy the fourth, fifth and sixth positions in the standings with each having amassed 66 points since the start of the season.

However, Newcastle have a goal difference of 22 which puts them at a good position of qualifying for the Champions League since Chelsea and Villa boast of goal differences of 22 and nine in that order.
