After the goal, Nairobi United, which is associated with the current Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja, did everything possible to look for a quick equalizer.

However, their opponents, who hail from Embu County, had all the answers to the questions they asked of them.

Nonetheless, similar to most things that come under immense pressure, the 3K FC finally broke in the final stages of the first half and allowed Nairobi United to draw level.

The much needed goal was scored by Frank Ouya to ensure the two sides went to the break leveled.

The win helped the Nicholas Muyoti-coached charges to increase their lead at the summit of the NSL standings to 65 points, 10 more than their closest rivals APS Bomet, who have a game in hand.

Nairobi United, which was formed in 2015 as Balaji EPZ Football Club, will now play in the FKF Premier League for the first time ever.
