Two talented East African runners Beatrice Chebet and Medina Eisa are expected to ignite the track at the 2025 Rabat Diamond League in Morocco on Sunday, May 25.
The Chebet vs Eisa showdown will be one of the crunch matchups in the eagerly awaited event based on the excellent form the duo is enjoying at the moment.
Chebet heads to the Rabat Diamond League on the back of a convincing 5000m victory at the Xiamen Diamond League.
The Kenyan speedster took command of the track in the final 200m and went on to cross the finishing line in a world lead time of 14:27.12.

Chebet, who is expected to double in the upcoming 2025 Tokyo Olympic Games, was followed by Ethiopian athletes Gudaf Tsegay, Haylom Birke and Hirut Meshesha, who clocked 14:28.18, 14:28.80 and 14:29.29 in that order.
The runner who hails from Kericho County revealed after that race that she is not focused on breaking world records at the moment.
“For now I will just race well. When I feel the body is in a position to chase a world record, I will try. When it is not there, time will come. So for now, the main goal is the world championships,” she explained.
On the other hand, Eisa, who has taken part in several races this year, is preparing for Sunday’s contest after shining at the recently held 2025 Great Manchester Run.
The 20-year-old overcame experienced runners like the multiple Boston Marathon champion Hellen Obiri and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games gold medalist Vivian Cheruiyot to clinch the title.

Medina cut the tape in a time of 30:42 ahead of American road race runner Emily Sisson (31:03) and the 2024 winner Gotytom Gebreslase (31:11).
Besides Chebet and Medina, some of the other athletes that will fight for the 3000m title at the Rabat Diamond League include Winnie Nanyondo and Ejgayehu Taye.
