- According to the Gor Mahia Electoral Board, Ambrose Rachier is the only cleared candidate for the chairmanship position.
- Ambrose has been at the helm of K’Ogalo since 2008, and his re-election will see him remain in office for two decades.
- The club elections, in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting, are set for April 13, 2025.
Gor Mahia’s Incumbent Chairman, Ambrose Rachier, will continue in office for another four years, as his candidacy was the only one cleared by the club’s Electoral Board.
According to a statement released by the Board on Wednesday, Rachier stands as the sole unopposed candidate and will be set for another four-year term, marking eight years since his initial election in 2020 and 21 years since he assumed the chairmanship of the club.
This is to inform you that Gor Mahia Football Club Election Board received the following applications for consideration and clearance to contest the four (4) vacant positions in the management of Gor Mahia Football Club. After a thorough scrutiny and review, the Election Board cleared the following candidates to contest in the forthcoming election,” read the Electoral Board statement, signed by Chairman Gichu Wahome.

In addition to the unchallenged chairperson position, the vice-chairperson seat also saw a single applicant, Victor Omondi, as the current Vice Chairperson, Francis Wasuna, did not register for the position.
However, the Secretary-General role has attracted three candidates: current SG Sam Ocholla, who is seeking a second term, alongside media personality and radio presenter Joseph O. Oyoo, also known as Gidi Gidi, and Nicanor Arum.
The Honorary Treasurer’s position will feature a competitive race between two candidates: Gerphas O. Ogola and Philip D. Nyakwana.
The outgoing treasurer, Dolphina Odhiambo, did not register for re-election despite her interest in the chairperson position, citing objections to the high nomination fees, which she claimed were deliberately inflated to bar her from contesting.

Gor Mahia will hold their club elections in conjunction with their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 13, 2025.
