Moraa, who is one of the racers in the short distance category (800m and 1500m), stated that she is seeking to make her loved ones proud for the support they continue to give her.

According to Moraa, her loved ones, particularly siblings have been there for her through thick and thin.
“I can say when you are in a competition, anything can happen. We are all ready. We are strong, and when I was coming from Kenya, I said to myself, I am coming to compete for the love of my family and my country and the ones who have been motivating me a lot.
I can say my family, the likes of my brothers and sisters, the love they give me. So, I am going to do this because of my family, because all of them are looking at me. If I win, I win it for my family and my country,” she stated.
The 24-year-old and her siblings were raised by their grandparents in Kenya’s Western region after the demise of their parents.
The athlete, who has already secured several medals for Kenyan in major competitions including a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, is expected to kick off her Grand Slam campaign on Friday, April 4 in Kingston, Jamaica.
