- Mashemeji Derby tickets will be available online from Wednesdayor Thursday to Saturday, with no sales on Sunday.
- Online ticketing is one of the conditions AFC Leopards were given after receiving approval to host the match at Nyayo Stadium.
- The first leg of the Mashemeji Derby between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards is on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda has announced that ticketing for the first leg of the Mashemeji Derby against Gor Mahia at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, March 30th, will be conducted online.
As the host, Ingwe will be striving to replicate what was done over the weekend by the Football Kenya Federation, which sold tickets online for the match between Harambee Stars and Gabon at the same venue.
This is one of the country’s most anticipated matches, which had to be postponed twice due to the lack of a suitable stadium.

However, after receiving approval to host the match at Nyayo, Shikanda explained that the go-ahead was granted with specific conditions, one of which is to follow the example set by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the Harambee Stars match by issuing tickets online.
The stadium came with a set of conditions, and one of them is that we need to replicate what the Local Organizing Committee did. Therefore, we are planning to sell tickets online, starting from Wednesday or Thursday until Saturday, as no tickets will be sold on Sunday,- Shikanda explained to Eric Njiru on X.
Ingwe ready to host Mashemeji Derby
He further stated that they have learned from the Sunday match and, as the hosts, they are fully prepared to stage the match. Additionally, they are hopeful of receiving support from the LOC.
“As hosts, AFC Leopards is more than ready. This match has been postponed several times, but finally, we have secured the venue, and we are prepared both on and off the pitch.
In fact, off the pitch, we are seeking security support from the LOC for CHAN. We have learned lessons from the Sunday match against Gabon, and we are working to address some of the issues that arose during that game. We hope to provide Kenyans with a memorable experience,” he added.

He reiterated his call for fans to purchase tickets and attend the match in large numbers, emphasizing that security will be tight that day.
“We have encountered issues where people claim they don’t need to pay but still expect to access the stadium. We are working tirelessly to ensure adequate security measures are in place to prevent entry by those without tickets.
We are simply asking our fans to support the club by buying a ticket. Paying 300 or 500 shillings once every six months is not asking too much,” he concluded.
