Torr’s journey to fastest hat trick

Torr became the first football player to bag a hat-trick in less than 80 seconds when he scored three goals in 70 seconds in a Sunday league tie in 2013 to help Rawson Springs hammer Winn Gardens 7-1.

The record breaking display that shocked the many people including the centre referee Matt Tyers happened in a Meadow Hall Sunday League encounter.

Torr, who was 20 years old then, scored a total of four goals in that memorable match with his hat-trick coming between the 11th and 13th minute of the clash.

He scored his first goal of the match in the 11th minute before completing his brace 30 seconds later. Torr’s third goal came at the 13th minute mark when he received a pinpoint pass before firing the ball into the net.

Other famous football players who have scored fastest hat tricks

Besides Torr, there are several other players who have managed to score quick hat-tricks in their professional careers.

Some of these stars include Senegalese forward Sadio Mane and his Polish counterpart Robert Lewandowski.

Mane entered into the Premier League record books when he netted the fastest hat-trick in the history of the most watched league in a game against Aston Villa in May 2015.

Mane, who was playing for Southampton then only took two minutes and 56 seconds to complete his hat-trick and help his side secure a 6-1 victory.

On the other hand, Lewandowski scored a hat-trick in three minutes, 15 seconds in a Bundesliga football match between Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg that was also played in 2015.
