Gor Mahia FC ran riot against Githurai All Stars to book their ticket to the Round of 16 of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup 2025 on Sunday evening.
Gor Mahia, who are one of the favorites to lift the FKF Cup title, secured a huge 5-0 win over the Kiambu County-based club.
The Sinisa Mihic army started the game that was played at the Dandora Stadium strongly and could have gone ahead in the 10th minute when Samuel Kapen headed the ball towards goal but it was well dealt with.
As the proceedings went on, Gor Mahia grew into the game and managed to break the deadlock in the 23rd minute when star player Austine Odhiambo fired the ball from a free kick into the net.

Brace for Austin Odhiambo
Odhiambo, who has been a joy to watch this season, completed his brace in the 40th minute to give the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) defending champions a 2-0 lead.
Githurai All Stars’ situation got worse with one minute remaining to the end of the first half when Gedeon Bendeka dispatched the ball into the net from close range.
Mihic, who recently took charge of Gor Mahia, made three substitutions at the start of the second half, replacing Bendeka, Geoffrey Ochieng and Boniface Omondi with Mark Shaban, Levin Joseph and Paul Ochuoga.
The substitutions paired off as his side continued to create more goal scoring chances with Shaban converting one of them in the 58th minute to put the match beyond the reach of Githurai All Stars.
The latter tried their best to get even a consolation goal but the Gor Mahia defence did not give them any room to penetrate.
K’Ogalo went on to add another goal via Alpha Onyango in the 87th minute and finished the match with a well-deserved 5-0 victory.
