KCB Rugby continued their excellent form in the Kenya Cup 24/25 season, thrashing Nondies 53-8 on Saturday evening, 15th February, at the Ngong Racecourse, extending their winning streak to eight consecutive matches.
Lionel Ajeliti opened the scoring for KCB in the early minutes with a successful penalty conversion. However, Ian Mumbwani quickly responded, leveling the score with a penalty for the hosts.
Austin Sikutwa scored the first try of the match, with Ajeliti’s conversion sailing through, giving the Bankers a 10-3 lead.
Sikutwa added another brilliant try, and with the conversion successful, the visitors extended their lead to 17-3 at the break.

The second half mirrored the first, with Sikutwa converting a try from Mannaseh Oduor, further increasing their advantage to 24-3.
Not long after, Sikutwa completed his hat trick, extending KCB’s lead to 31-3.
Brian Wahinya, coming off the bench, then scored a try, followed by a successful conversion to make it 38-3.
Despite Brian Amaitsa’s try for Nondies, which went unconverted, KCB’s dominance continued.
Their 20 additional points ensured the final score stood at 53-8, condemning Nondies to their second loss of the season.

Elsewhere, Kabras Sugar, after their 43-20 triumph over Kenya Harlequins in the Enterprise Cup last weekend, resumed their dominant run, defeating them 43-22 at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi, extending their own winning streak to eight matches.
Tries from Eric Cantona, Patrick Sabatia, Hillary Odhiambo, and Griffin Chao, along with just one successful conversion, gave the Millers the lead in the first half. Despite two penalty conversions from Harlequins, the visitors ended the half ahead with a 17-6 lead.
In the second half, George Nyambua scored a brace of tries, followed by further tries from Hillary Odhiambo and Ntabeni Dukisa, all with successful conversions, which increased Kabras’ lead.
Although Harlequins responded with a converted try from Leon Nyang and some penalties advantage, they were not enough to secure the win, and the final score remained 43-22 in favor of Kabras.
At the Kenyatta University Grounds, Blak Blad ended their five-match losing streak with an emphatic 50-3 victory over South Coast Pirates, who suffered their sixth defeat of the season.
Mwamba RFC edged out Strathmore Leos 20-10 in a hard-fought contest at KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka.
Meanwhile, Nakuru RFC and Kisumu RFC played one of the day’s most competitive matches, with Nakuru emerging 32-22 victors. In Nakuru, Menengai Oilers ruthlessly dismantled Impala RFC 56-3.
