AFC Leopards will look to build on the 1-0 victory they secured against Nairobi City Stars last weekend when they host Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday, February 9, at the Dandora Stadium in Nairobi, with an eye on a top-four spot.
The match, set to kick off at 4:00 p.m. EAT, sees the 12-time top-flight champions in fifth place on the standings.
A win would propel them into the top four with 32 points, level with Bandari FC but ahead on goal difference.
They would also cut the gap to six points behind league leaders Police FC and Tusker, while narrowing the distance to third-placed Gor Mahia, who sit on 34 points.

Fred Ambani’s side has only suffered one loss in their last five matches.
However, their home form has been less than impressive, as they have failed to win their last two home fixtures.
Out of the eight home matches they’ve played this season, they have managed just four wins, two draws, and two defeats. Therefore, they will be aiming to secure their fifth home win of the season.
On the other hand, things have been challenging for William Muluya’s Sharks, who have gone seven matches without a victory.
In fact, they have won just once in their last 15 Premier League encounters (1W, 8D, 6L).
This poor run has left the Sharks in 13th place on the table, with 21 points from four wins, nine draws, and six losses.

Sharks will also be desperate to end their four-match winless away streak, having earned only 10 points from their last 10 outings, with just two wins and four draws.
With new faces expected on the pitch in today’s encounter, the first leg saw both teams share the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
Fredrick Alushula, now with AFC Leopards, opened the scoring for Sharks before being sent off with a red card. Victor Omune equalized for the Leopards.
This promises to be an intense match, with Sharks seeking redemption, while Ingwe will be determined to secure three points that will bring them closer to the title race as they pursue their 13th top-flight championship, ending nearly three decades of drought.

Before this thrilling encounter, another exciting fixture will take place at the same venue, as Ulinzi Stars host Kakamega Homeboyz at 1:00 p.m.
Homeboyz will be aiming to extend their winning streak to 10 matches, while the soldiers will be looking to bounce back from two recent setbacks: a 1-0 loss to Tusker and a 1-1 draw against Bidco United.
