How long is the mid-season transfer window?

According to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) competitions department, the mid-season transfer window for NSL, Division One and FKFPL is scheduled to start on Friday, January 31, 2025 and end on Friday, February 28, 2025 at exactly 5 PM East African Time (EAT).

The primary requirement for this year’s mid-season transfer window is for clubs to finish the ratification process of their new signings by Wednesday every week.

As stated by the FKF, those who fail to meet this requirement will have to wait for longer before their new players are allowed to feature in the various leagues.

“To ensure a smooth transition, only players whose transfers and/or registrations are completed by Wednesday of each week will be eligible to feature in weekend fixtures.

This measure allows the competitions department sufficient time to process player licenses.

Any transfers or registrations submitted after the Wednesday deadline will be approved and processed for the following week,” the communique from FKF read in part.
