Safari Rally 2025

The newly appointed Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Salim Mvurya has assured that Kenya is ready to host the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally 2025 scheduled to take place from 20-23 March in Naivasha.

In what will be the third stop in the WRC 2025 calendar following races in Monaco and Sweden, Kenya will once again welcome the motorsport family for one of the most prestigious and loved courses in the sport.

Speaking at the WRC Safari Rally headquarters located in Naivasha, Mvurya expressed confidence in making the event a success for the fifth year running after meeting with the Oversight and Local Organizing committees of the WRC Safari Rally 2025, local leaders and sponsors.

“We have a whole government approach. The Safari Rally has brought together the whole government to make this event a success.

“This is the way we shall be doing our business and we don’t want to leave anybody behind. We want everyone to participate for the success of the event and we leave something behind after the rally,” the CS said.

“Safari Rally has greater benefits of profiling our country for tourism trade and other benefits. I am confident the CEO and the team are up to the task and they will host a successful event. This is a world-class event,” he added.

When is the Safari Rally 2025?

The WRC Safari Rally will take place from 20-23 March 2025. It will be the third leg in the WRC 2025 calendar that has a total of 14 races this year.

Monaco was the first stop and took place from 23-26 January. Drivers will be heading to Sweden from 13-16 February for the second course before all eyes turn to Kenya for the Safari Rally in March.

The 2025 WRC Safari Rally will officially be flagged off in Nairobi by President William Ruto on March 20.

The cars will then go to Kasarani for the Super Special Stage before the first competitive stage in Naivasha.
