Kenya is currently ranked ninth with 11 points and will be aiming for a higher finish to secure a spot in the top eight and avoid relegation.
As teams prepare for the exciting tournament, Shujaa’s assistant coach, Louis Kisia, expressed confidence that the squad will benefit from the return of two players who missed the first two rounds due to injury.
Kisia expects Oilers’ John Okoth, who suffered a tibia fracture and Kabras’ Brian Tanga, recovering from a wrist injury, to be available for the Vancouver leg in February.
“The two are recovering well. They should be available for training upon our return from Australia,” Kisia commented, according to The Star.
Following their outing in Australia, Shujaa will travel to Vancouver for the fourth round from February 21-23, before the HSBC Hong Kong Sevens hosts the fifth round from March 28-30.
