The Kenya U17 men’s team will kick off their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 CECAFA Qualifiers campaign on Wednesday afternoon (1.00PM) against Tanzania at the Nakivubo Hamz Stadium in Uganda.

The Junior Stars have been placed in Group A, alongside Uganda and Tanzania following the withdrawal of Ethiopia and Burundi from the competition.

The tournament commenced on Sunday with Uganda and Tanzania sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw. This result gives Kenya an excellent opportunity to top the group, provided they win against Tanzania, which would also be a step closer to the semi-finals
