Michael Olunga fails to rescue Al-Duhail

Harambee Stars captain Michael Ogada Olunga’s hard time in front of goal in the Qatar Stars League continued on Saturday.

Olunga failed to get his name in the score sheet in a match where his employer Al-Duhail were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Al Khor in a tough match staged at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

Al Khor found the back of the net through Ahmed Hassan and Ruben Semedo in the 41st and 47th minutes respectively with Edmilson Junior scoring the consolation goal for the visitors with 18 minutes remaining to the end of the regulation time.

This was the second consecutive game in all competitions that Olunga failed to find his goal scoring boats. Olunga’s last goal for Al-Duhail came against Al-Shamal on November 1.

Dorcas Shikobe starts in goal as Seirines Grevenon run riots against AEK Veria

Harambee Starlets defender Dorcas Shikobe started between the sticks in Seirines Grevenon 5-0 win over AEK Veria in a Greek Women’s Second Division tie on Sunday.

Shikobe, who has played in the center back position for Harambee Stars in numerous matches, had very little to do throughout the entire match.

Speaking after the comfortable win, the former Oserian and Lakatama FC player thanked God for the well-deserved victory.

“Dear almighty God this far is you in my talent and life. I am very grateful for another big win today. Your daughter is so grateful. We keep on believing and putting our hopes on you,” she stated.

Good day in office for Eric Johana Omondi in Romania

Kenyan forward Eric Johana scored two goals in UTA Arad’s painful 3-4 defeat in the hands of Unirea Slobozia in a Romanian Superliga fixture.

The 30-year-old scored all of his goals in the second half of the end to end football match. He kissed the net in the 46th minute to make it 1-2 for the hosts before completing his brace in the 86th minute.

Valentin Costache was also on the score sheet for the hosts while Unirea Slobozia goals came courtesy of Dmytro Pospelov, Florinel Ibrian, Daniel Sabernica and Laurentiu Constantin.

The draw made UTA Arad drop to position 12 in the competitive league with 21 points from 19 matches.
