Defending FKF Cup Champions Police FC will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Dandora to face the 12-time Kenyan champions AFC Leopards in a high-stakes encounter.
Both teams are desperate to rebound from disappointing starts to the season, and this clash promises to be a crucial one in their bid for redemption.
AFC Leopards have endured a tough spell, with their winless streak stretched to five matches following a 2-1 defeat to Shabana in midweek at Gusii Stadium. Their last victory came in September, a 2-1 win over Nairobi City Stars.
Since then, coach Trucha’s side has suffered two draws and three losses, leaving them dropping from the 5th place to 10th with just 11 points.

On the flip side, the law enforcers, Police FC, have had their own struggles this season.
Since returning to the league, they have only managed one win in seven matches, with the remainder consisting of five draws and a solitary loss.
Their turbulent season has been compounded by changes in the technical bench. After parting ways with coach Salim Babu and the entire technical team, the club appointed Beldine Odemba as interim coach.
Under her guidance, they secured two draws but she will now step aside following appointment of Burundian Ndayiragije Etienne as Police FC’s new head coach.
Starting with a tough test against AFC Leopards, Ndayiragije now faces the tough task of lifting the law enforcers from the bottom of the 18-team league table where the club lies with 8 points.

The two sides met three times last season across various competitions. In the Premier League, they played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the first leg, while AFC Leopards won the second leg narrowly 1-0.
In the Kenya Cup semi-finals, however, Police FC emerged more determined, edging out Leopards 1-0 in a hard-fought battle at Dandora Stadium to advance to the final. AFC Leopards, meanwhile, had to settle for third place.
In the overall head-to-head record, Police FC have managed two wins against AFC Leopards, who have the edge with three victories in their eight past encounters. The remaining two matches ended in draws.
The match is set to kick off at 4:00 pm, Kenyan time.
