Kenya Police FC and KCB went home with a point apiece on Tuesday evening after a 1-1 draw in a 24/25 Football Kenya Federation Premier League midweek match played at Dandora Stadium.
In-form striker Francis Kahiro had given the Bankers the lead in the third minute, but Francis Kahata saved the law enforcers from succumbing to a second defeat this season as he rescued a point with his second half strike.
Despite dissolving their entire technical team a week ago, the law enforcers, who are under interim coach Beldine Odemba saw their search for a win stretch to four games (3D 1L), the latest result following a 0-0 draw with Kariobangi Sharks last Friday.
KCB, led by coach Patrick Odhiambo, entered the match on a high after narrowly defeating FC Talanta 2-1 last Friday with a last-minute goal.

The game quickly came to life with Kahiro putting KCB ahead in the third minute as he claimed his seventh goal of the season in ten matches.
His early strike gave the Bankers the advantage but the game took an unexpected turn when Kahiro was substituted in the 35th minute, Stephen Etyang replacing him after a possible injury as KCB took the narrow lead into the halftime break.
Odhiambo made tactical changes, bringing on Joshua Nyatini to replace Rodgers Agal followed by the introduction of Farraj Ominde for Michael Mutinda in the 59th minute.
These adjustments were intended to help KCB contain Kenya Police’s aggressive search for an equalizer but that was not the case as Police found an equalizer through Kahata who scored his second goal of the season in the 63rd minute.

Kahata benefited from a well-timed assist by David Okoth who intercepted a pass from Maurice Otieno and laid the ball off for the experience attacker to finish.
The equalizer lifted the hopes of the Police side but neither team could break the deadlock in the final moments of the match.
The draw leaves Kenya Police in 15th place with just 8 points, casting doubt on their ability to mount a serious title challenge this season as KCB moved to 21 points, five clear of second placed Mara Sugar who have played a match less.
