The AFC Leopards’ management has taken stern action against three players who took part in an unsanctioned game a few days ago.
The multiple Kenyan champions have slapped Julius Masaba, Kennedy Owino and star forward Victor Omune with a two-week suspension.
According to a communique issued by the club on Friday morning, the trio will also not get a single penny within that period.

The three were involved in an unsanctioned match in October without the knowledge of the club,” the statement read.
The decision from Ingwe comes two days before the club battles it out with Ulinzi Stars in an important Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) fixture scheduled for Sunday.
Head coach Thomas Trucha, who is under immense pressure to deliver, will have to cope without Omune and Owino who have been instrumental for Ingwe this season.
The club goes into Sunday’s match sitting fourth in the FKFPL log with 10 points, seven behind leaders KCB FC, who have played a game more.

On the other hand, Ulinzi Stars, who have only picked up a single win this season, occupy the 10th spot in the log with six points.
AFC Leopards is not the only club that has punished its players for the unprofessional behavior which led to a lot of debate among football stakeholders in the country.
Earlier this week, Mathare United took a similar action against Eric Mulu, Kevin Kimani, Brian Ouru, and Elli Asieche.
Meanwhile, defending champions Gor Mahia FC are yet to take any measure against four of their players who committed the same crime.
