Kenyan ace Angella Okutoyi has qualified for the Doubles final in the W35 Hilton Head Island 2024 tournament in the USA.
This is after the Auburn University student and her Egyptian partner Refaat Merna outclassed their Polish opponents Olivia Lincer and Daria Kuczer, recording a straight set 6-4, 6-4 win to book their final ticket.
Up next for the Okutoyi and her North African partner is a difficult final against Americans Fiona Crawley and Makenna Jones.
Jones and Crawley booked the ticket to the final after beating Luksika KumKhum and Park So-hyun 7-5, 6-3. Kumkhum and So-hyun hail from Thailand and South Korea respectively.

The much-awaited final, which is scheduled to be played on Court 8, is expected to kick off at 5 pm East African time.
Okutoyi’s journey in the singles category ended in the round of 16 where she narrowly lost to Lincer.
Lincer won the first set 6-4 before Okutoyi produced a brilliant comeback and managed to register an impressive 6-1 victory in the second set.
However, Lincer proved to be stronger in the final set, beating her 6-3 win to proceed to the quarterfinal.
