Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia will be out to maintain their 100% start to the 24/25 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign when they take on Posta Rangers at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday.
Having thrashed Mathare United 4-0 in their league opener, K’Ogalo, who are playing catch up in the league owing to their continental exploits, will be hoping to pick up from where they left off just before the international break.
Speaking ahead of the match, newly appointed Brazilian head coach Leonardo Neiva expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress during the international break.

“It was a very good time for us, allowing us to prepare accordingly. We are making good progress in our tactical approach and I think in the next five games, we can show the fans a different way about our game style and the team’s system,” Neiva said.
The Brazilian also affirmed that his team is ready for the clash against Posta Rangers even as he acknowledged the opposition’s strength and experience.
“For sure, we are very ready for this game against Posta Rangers. They are a tough team with experienced players but we are prepared for the challenge,” he stated.
Regarding injuries, Neiva confirmed that only goalkeeper Kevin Omondi will be out for a few days but assured that the team has strong players available for upcoming fixtures.
In another match, Nairobi City Stars will square off against Sofapaka at 1 PM before the Gor Mahia game against Posta Rangers.
Batoto Ba Mungu are still seeking their first win of the season after four matches (D1 L3), while City Stars have also not won in their three opening games (1D L2), placing them in the bottom two spots in the league.
Elsewhere, Mara Sugar will host Shabana at Awendo Stadium. Mara has been in good form since their promotion, winning two matches, drawing one, and losing one. Shabana, on the other hand, are aiming to record their first win of the season after consecutive draws.

On Sunday, three matches are scheduled including a key fixture between Kariobangi Sharks and AFC Leopards at Kenyatta Stadium.
Sharks are unbeaten in their first four matches, currently sitting in second place, while AFC Leopards, in third, have lost only one of their four games, earning nine points.
On Friday, Mathare United secured three crucial points against Bidco United with a 1-0 victory at Dandora Stadium.
