As the Football Kenya Federation Premier League takes an international break for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifiers, the Women’s Premier League is set to start its new season this weekend.
There will be six matches played over the weekend, five on Saturday and one on Sunday.
Defending champions Kenya Police Bullets will kick off their title defense against league newcomers Kisped Queens at Police Sacco Stadium on Saturday at 1 PM.
Bullets narrowly missed qualifying for the 24/25 CAF Women Champions League after a 1-0 defeat to Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) in the CECAFA Zonal qualifiers final.
Kisped, on the other hand, aim to make a strong start in their inaugural league season after being promoted from the women’s division one league last season where they secured their spot by defeating Kayole Starlets 1-0.
