Gor Mahia

22/23 Golden Glove winner Gad Mathew and exciting fullback Bryson Wangai have been included in the Gor Mahia squad travelling to Egypt to face African giants Al Ahly in the return leg of their 24/25 CAF Champions League Second Preliminary Round tie.

The duo has not played in any of the three Champions League matches that Gor Mahia has taken part in so far and will be hoping to get their first competitive appearances under new Brazilian head coach Leonardo Neiva.

Mathew lost his place to Kevin Omondi while Wangai is yet to nail down a regular spot in the team since joining the record Kenyan champions owing to stiff competition in the left-back position.

Apart from the two, Neiva has maintained the same faces that played in the first leg with the team headlined by 23/24 Football Kenya Federation Premier League Most Valuable Player Austin Odhiambo.

The creative midfielder will be joined in the middle of the park by new Ghanaian signing Enock Morrison, who earned plaudits following his impressive display in the first leg, Lawrence Juma, Rodgers Ouma, Alpha Onyango and Shariff Musa.

Chris Ochieng, who led the line in the first leg, is also in the squad alongside Bonface Omondi, Samuel Kapen and Ronney Onyango, who has since been shifted from the right back position to a more offensive player.
