SportPesa 7s

Reigning SportPesa National 7s Circuit champions KCB RFC will face perennial rivals Kabras Sugar for a place in the 2024 Driftwood 7s main cup final.

The Bankers set up the tie following a convincing 29-0 win over Nondies in the first main cup quarterfinal played at the Mombasa Sports Club with Austin Sikutwa bagging a hattrick to carry the team to the last four. Festus Shiasi and Lionel Ajeliti also bagged tries apiece to maintain KCB 100% record in the tournament.

In the second quarterfinal, Kabras just about managed to get the job done following a hard fought 7-5 victory over Strathmore Leos.

Patrick Lumumba’s converted effort proved enough as Leos managed to score through Collins Maina but a missed conversion saw the varsity side crash out despite late pressure.

Blakblad managed to get the bragging rights in the varsity derby pitting them against Daystar Falcons as they kept their composure to claim a 12-0 victory.

Current SportPesa 7s leaders Kenya Harlequin then continued with their impressive form as they blew away Zetech University 27-0 in the final quarterfinal match.
