  • The Fulham vs Liverpool clash will kick off at 11PM.
  • Liverpool have a 2-1 advantage from the first leg.
  • The aggregate winner will meet Chelsea in the final.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool travel to Fulham for the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday night seeking to book their spot in the final of the cup competition where Chelsea awaits.

The Reds hold a slender 2-1 advantage from the first leg heading to Craven Cottage for the 11pm kickoff.

With the added incentive of reaching a record 14th League Cup final in their history, Liverpool head into the match full of confidence.

Only once have the Reds won the first leg of a League Cup semi-final and not progressed to the final. That came in 1998 when they beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at Anfield before losing 2-0 in the return fixture.

They have also lost just one of their last 37 games against domestic opponents in all competitions and are unbeaten in their last five visits to Craven Cottage – all in the league – with three wins and two draws.

Fulham on their part will be fueled by the dream of qualifying for a first-ever EFL Cup final appearance.

The Marco Silva-coached side will take great boost from their home form as they have won five of their last six matches played on their turf (L1), including a 2-1 win over Arsenal in the league and back-to-back 5-0 wins.

Fulham vs Liverpool Team News

Liverpool have been handed a boost as Andy Robertson could make his return from injury. The left-back, who has been sidelined since October following shoulder surgery, participated in team training on Monday and is set to travel to London for the tie at Craven Cottage.

The game however comes too soon for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai with both instead targeting comebacks in Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup meeting with Norwich City.

Curtis Jones is fit after his ‘precautionary’ withdrawal in the latter stages of the 4-0 win at AFC Bournemouth, while Kostas Tsimikas is around two weeks away from team training as he continues his recovery from a collarbone problem.

Mohamed Salah will return to the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday to begin an intensive rehabilitation programme following the muscle injury he sustained during Egypt’s ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign.

Wataru Endo is on international duty with Japan at the Asian Cup, while Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak and Joel Matip are long-term injury absentees.

For Fulham, Adama Traore remains sidelined through injury and three players – Fode Ballo-Toure, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi – are away at AFCON.

Fulham vs Liverpool Prediction

Fulham have produced two really impressive performances against Liverpool this season, but on each occasion have surrendered the lead and fallen to narrow defeats.

Even when not at their best, this Liverpool team is capable of picking up results and the confidence is flowing through the squad, as they continue to march forward in all competitions.

Fulham are capable of pushing Liverpool once again, but the visitors should have enough to book another trip to Wembley.
