Man City vs Tottenham
  • Man City vs Tottenham will clash on Sunday at 2300EAT.
  • City are in second place on 29 points.
  • Spurs are in fifth place on 26 points.

Premier League defending champions Manchester City and a struggling Tottenham Hotspur side are set to battle it out in one of the season-defining matches on Sunday 3 December 2023.

A defeat for Manchester will not only be a big blow to their title hopes but also set a horrible record.

The hosts have gone two matches without a win and failure to collect maximum points against Spurs will make them fail to pick up maximum points on three consecutive occasions for the first time since 2017.

A defeat will also leave them four points behind leaders Arsenal who beat Wolves 2-1 to open up a four-point gap after fourteen games played so far.

Meanwhile, Tottenham whose strong start to the season was slowed down by injuries, will be seeking to avoid the fourth consecutive defeat.

The Ange Postecoglou coached side sit fifth in the log with 26 points, seven behind arch-rivals Arsenal.

Should they fall at the hands of the Cityzens, it would be very difficult for them to catch up with the log-leading Gunners.

Man City vs Tottenham Prediction

Although Manchester City have struggled to beat the visitors in recent encounters, Sunday’s match looks easier for them owing to the injury crisis Spurs is currently undergoing.

In addition, there is no way Pep Guardiola is going to allow the other top-ranking clubs to open a wide gap against his side.

Yes, in football anything can happen, but it will be very difficult for Tottenham to return from the Etihad Stadium with even a point.
