The final Group F game brings with it lots of drama as Croatia and Belgium battle it out for a spot in the knockout round of the World Cup.

2018 World Cup semi finalists Belgium are looking to better that performance and begin with a Group F encounter against Canada on Wednesday.

Belgium lost 2-0 eventual winners France in the semis before going on to beat England by the same score in the third place playoff.

Canada on the other hand are going into their first World Cup match in 36 years with their only previous finals appearance coming in 1986.

During that edition of the tournament, they lost all three games to France, Hungary and the then USSR without scoring a single goal.

They are hoping to better that performance as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on home soil.

Belgium scored 16 goals at the last World Cup, topping the scoring charts and are tipped to score just as many during this year’s tournament.

Canada’s away form is poor as they won just 2 of their 7 matches on the road in qualifying, and lost away in Honduras in their last competitive fixture.

This marks the last edition of the tournament for Belgium’s ‘golden generation’ to win the trophy and there is lots of hope in Roberto Martinez’ side.
