Pau FC vs USL Dunkerque prediction

Pau FC host USL Dunkerque at the Stade Nouste Camp on Friday night from 9pm EAT, and for the home side, this already feels like a must-win.

Pau have picked up just five points from their first six games, and the biggest problem is clear: they cannot score.

A 1-0 defeat to Montpellier last time out has only added to the frustration.

If that was not bad enough, Dunkerque have been their bogey team for years. Pau haven’t beaten them in eight attempts, and the fans are desperate for that run to end.

Dunkerque, meanwhile, arrive full of confidence after a gritty 2-1 win over St. Etienne.

They know they have the edge here, having beaten Pau 3-1 and 3-0 in their most recent meetings.

Brentford vs Chelsea prediction

Brentford will host Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium from 22:00 EAT for the Premier League Round 5 clash.

This West London derby is shaping up to be a brilliant, chaotic affair, especially given that matches involving these two sides have already produced an insane 51 goals across all competitions early this season.

Brentford enter the night undefeated but slightly frustrated, having drawn three consecutive league matches.

Chelsea sit just one point and one place ahead of them in sixth, making this a critical, high-stakes battle where the winner could temporarily launch themselves into third place right before the three-week international break.

Brentford played out a frantic 2-2 draw away to Bournemouth, where Kevin Schade was the hero, bagging both goals to preserve their unbeaten status.

They did manage to bounce back and build a little extra confidence midweek by securing a 2-1 victory over Reading in the Carabao Cup.

Chelsea, meanwhile, suffered a bit of a reality check in their last match, throwing away a lead to settle for a disappointing 2-2 draw against newly promoted Hull City at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have been lethal on the counter-attack, leading the Premier League in goals scored from fast breaks, but they have an absolute nightmare of a record when defending set-pieces.

That plays right into the hands of a physical Brentford side that tops the entire division for shots generated from dead-ball situations.
