Brad Binder will look to rediscover his rhythm in the Netherlands this coming weekend after finishing 12th in Sunday’s main race at the Czechia Grand Prix.
The weekend at Brno carried special significance for the South African, as it was the legendary circuit where he claimed his maiden premier-class victory during his rookie 2020 season.
Unfortunately, his return this year was a far cry from those cherished memories as he continues to search for a return to the podium -a feat he has not achieved since last season.

A nightmare qualifying session left him starting down in 20th, severely hampering his weekend.
While he showed tremendous determination to carve through the field for a ninth-place finish in Saturday’s Sprint, his progress stalled on Sunday, and he crossed the line 22 seconds behind race winner Marc Marquez.
The difficult outing leaves Binder 13th in the World Championship standings with 53 points, just four points behind Enea Bastianini, who occupies 12th place with 57 points.
Looking ahead to the TT Circuit Assen, Binder was refreshingly honest about KTM’s current limitations.
He admitted that while his riding felt consistent, the bike simply lacked the pace needed throughout the weekend.
Ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, he made it clear that the team must urgently explore different setup configurations if he is to feel competitive again.
“Brno is done. 12th place today and I was really consistent and got faster towards the end but was just too slow, so, a frustrating weekend. We need to try a few different balances with the set-up so I can feel more competitive,” Binder said after the race.

Riding for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Binder, who is also backed by leading gaming firm SportPesa in South Africa, has endured a challenging first half of the season across nine Grand Prix weekends.
The 30 year old campaign began positively in Thailand, where he secured sixth place in the Sprint before following it up with a respectable seventh-place finish in the Grand Prix.
However, consistency has remained elusive for the South African, with several difficult weekends, including costly retirements in Brazil and France.
The middle stretch of the season delivered mixed results as Binder battled the limitations of his package.
He picked up valuable points with a 12th-place finish at the Americas GP and an 11th-place result in Spain, although his Spanish weekend was highlighted by an impressive fourth-place finish in the Sprint race.
He later recorded seventh in Catalonia, 11th in Italy, 10th in Hungary, and most recently 12th in Czechia. The upcoming Netherlands round now presents another opportunity for him to bounce back strongly.
MotoGP 2026 standings after nine rounds
Marco Bezzecchi leads the 2026 MotoGP World Championship with 180 points.
Riding for Aprilia Racing, Bezzecchi has established a narrow advantage at the summit despite a dramatic weekend at the Czechia Grand Prix in Brno.
Close behind is his Aprilia teammate, Jorge Martin, who sits second on 172 points. Fabio Di Giannantonio occupies an impressive third place with 157 points on his Ducati, while a fast-closing Marc Marquez is fourth with 140 points.
Completing the top five is Aprilia’s Ai Ogura, who has amassed 134 points after producing a standout performance to finish runner-up in Czechia.
The lower half of the top ten features a compelling blend of experienced champions and rising stars.
Binder’s teammate Pedro Acosta is KTM’s highest-ranked rider in sixth place with 132 points. He remains just ahead of factory Ducati star Francesco Bagnaia, who sits seventh with 127 points.
Meanwhile, Raul Fernandez continues to keep himself firmly in contention in eighth place with 106 points.
The final two positions in the top ten belong to Ducati riders Fermin Aldeguer in ninth with 76 points and Alex Marquez, who rounds out the top ten with 67 points.
