Bayern Munich beat Real Madrid

The curtains come down on the 2025/26 Bundesliga season with all teams kicking off at the same time on Saturday for the final matchday.

Bayern Munich were already crowned champions for a record-extending 35th time and hold a 16-point lead between them and second place Borussia Dortmund. This was also Bayern’s 13th title in 14 seasons, showing utter dominance in German football.

Dortmund are guaranteed second spot, while Leipzig will also finish in third place no matter the result on the last day of the season.

This leaves room for an exciting finish with three teams looking to secure the final Champions League spot. Stuttgart and Hoffenheim are in fourth and fifth with 61 points, while Bayer Leverkusen in sixth with 58.

At the bottom of the table, the bottom three teams are all tied on 26 points after they all have managed just six wins after 33 games. The only battle that remains is which of these three will retain a slim chance in the relegation playoff.

Here we have a look at some of the top games scheduled to all kick off at 4:30PM E.A.T as the Bundesliga season comes to a close.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Hamburger SV – BayArena

The chance is slim but possible for Leverkusen to still secure a top four finish with a convincing victory here. This also depends on results from other games on the day.

They are coming from a tough 3–1 loss to Stuttgart last weekend, leaving them in sixth with 58 points. Their opponents Hamburger are in 11th with 37 points, hoping they can achieve a top 10 finish in their first season back in the Bundesliga.

The visitors are seeking a third consecutive win after remarkable victories against Eintracht Frankfurt and Freiburg.

Teenager Christian Kofane scored the only goal as Leverkusen beat Hamburger 1-0 in the reverse fixture in March.

Bayern Munich vs Cologne – Allianz Arena

The Bundesliga champions will be looking to close out their remarkable campaign with a home win against Cologne. They still have the chance for a double with the DFB Pokal final yet to come next weekend.

Bayern are unbeaten in their last 10 home games in all competitions and have scored 16 goals in thru last five matches at the Allianz Arena.

They face a 14th place Cologne who are without a win in their last four games. They seem to have achieved their target of survival in their first season back in the German top flight.

Vincent Kompany’s side have won the last five head-to-head matches against Cologne and are favorites to make it six here.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Stuttgart – Deutsche Bank Park

Frankfurt still have hopes of European football next season but that also depends on Freiburg’s result on the final day. The hosts are in eighth place with 43 points after 33 games.

They face a fourth place Stuttgart side who have to win if they are to secure that final Champions League spot. The visiting side are unbeaten in their last three Bundesliga outings.

Frankfurt have not won any of their last four league games, coming from back-to-back defeats to Hamburger and Dortmund. They have also beaten Stuttgart twice in the last five head-to-head encounters.

This fixture is known to produce goals and with all that is on the line, we can expect both sides to get at least a goal in the game.

Freiburg vs RB Leipzig – Europa Park Stadium

Four days before their Europa League final against Aston Villa, Freiburg can confirm a spot in Europe next season with a win here. This will be an uphill task for a side who are without a win in their last three Bundesliga games.

Their most recent woes came in a 3-2 defeat to Hamburger, leaving them in seventh place with 44 points. They need to avoid defeat with two teams hot on their heels with 43 points.

Leipzig will finish in third place no matter the result, giving more incentive to the home team here.

Goal Rush

Leipzig were 2-0 winners when these sides last met in January, and have not lost to Freiburg in the last five head-to-head matches. A barren draw in 2025 is the only point the hosts have managed from this fixture in recent history.

St. Pauli vs Wolfsburg – Millerntor-Stadion

The final day brings us this relegation showdown, with the winner here retaining a chance to fight for survival in the relegation playoff. Both teams are tied on 26 points at the bottom of the table.

A third team, Heidenheim, are also on 26 points with two sides being automatically relegated to the Bundesliga 2 next season.

No team has ever avoided relegation from the Bundesliga after starting the final match day at the bottom of the table. This gives St. Pauli a huge task as they are currently on the worst streak in the league – without a win in nine matches.

Wolfsburg are desperate to avoid a first relegation since the 1996/97 season and come into the game on the back of a slim 1-0 loss against champions Bayern.

We can expect a cagey encounter with all that is at stake for both sides but Wolfsburg are slim favorites to complete the double over their opponents and bag all three points here.
