The Houston Rockets have a chance to level things up on Saturday morning when they host the Los Angeles Lakers at the Toyota Center in Game 6 of the NBA Playoffs’ first round.

The Rockets could become the first franchise ever to claw back from a 3-0 deficit and advance to the next round. On Saturday, they could force a 3-3 deadlock, setting up a decisive Game 7.

Even though the Lakers head into this contest leading 3-2, the conversation has already shifted.

The Rockets have strung together back-to-back victories and have exposed L.A’s vulnerabilities where they have not cracked the 100-point mark in the last two matchups.

L.A and Houston clashed on Thursday morning, with the Rockets grabbing a 99-93 win at Crypto.com Arena in Game 5.

The top scorer for Houston was Jabari Smith with 22 points, while Tari Eason chipped in 18 and Amen Thompson added 15. LeBron James racked up 25 points for the Lakers.

Austin Reaves made his return from injury, but despite his effort of dropping 22 points in 34 minutes, it was not enough to edge out the determined Rockets. DeAndre Ayton recorded 18 points and 17 rebounds.

This one will be about who seizes their opportunities. The Rockets have the advantage, boosted by their home crowd, as they push for Game 7.

Meanwhile, the Lakers, who looked set to cruise after going up 3-0 now see their swift qualification slipping away. They will need to pull themselves together fast and close things out on the road.
