Gor Mahia eye lead extension after AFC Leopards falter in SportPesa League title race

The record champions are looking to capitalize on their rival, AFC Leopards slip-up on Saturday against Kenya Police FC and cement their lead at the summit of the log, while the Dockers arrive with the ambition of breaking their streak of stalemates to climb into the top eight.

The hosts, Gor Mahia sits at the top of the table with 57 points. Despite a recent setback against Tusker FC in Kirinyaga, K’Ogalo remains the team to beat, boasting a resilient defense and a formidable home record.

While they have struggled to turn one point into three, their defensive organization makes them one of the most difficult units to break down in the top flight boasting the second most solid defense.
