Tusker FC are under pressure to turn their season around and have an uphill battle when they host Murang’a Seal at the Wang’uru Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Tusker appointed Frenchman Julien Mete as head coach over the weekend and he was welcomed with a baptism of fire, losing 1-0 to Shabana in round 21. The defeat leaves the brewers in 10th place with 28 points.
They host a Murang’a side who are also coming off a defeat over the weekend, losing 3-2 to Bandari in an electric encounter at the SportPesa Arena. Despite the loss, the Osborne Monday-coached side are in fifth place with 33 points.
Both teams are desperate to bounce back here as the SportPesa League season enters the business end. Tusker have been the better side in recent history but all that is forgotten now with their current troubles.

It is difficult to tell the kind of changes new head coach Mete will make to his side after having a few days to train with the squad.
There are a few changes that can be expected from the Shabana defeat, with three-time SportPesa League top scorer Eric Kapaito set to lead the attacking line.
Murang’a on the other hand are not expected to make any changes from the side that fell 3-2 to Bandari. The current SL top scorer Joe Waithira scored twice in the loss, taking his season’s tally to 15 goals.
