League leaders Gor Mahia will be out to settle scores when they face APS Bomet in a SportPesa League clash at Kericho Green Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The two sides lock horns from 3pm in what promises to be a thrilling encounter, especially considering the history between them this season.
Gor Mahia head into the fixture sitting comfortably at the summit of the SportPesa League table and enjoying an impressive run of form.

Gor Mahia plot payback as APS Bomet stand in the way
The record champions have won four of their last five league matches, drawing just once in that stretch. They also come into the game fresh from a 2-0 victory over Dero FC in the FKF Cup last weekend, a result that further underlined their strong momentum across competitions.
For APS Bomet, confidence is also building at just the right time. The league newcomers returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Nairobi United in their previous league outing.
Coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo’s charges did not feature in the FKF Cup last weekend, as the club is not participating in the competition, giving them ample time to prepare for the visit of the league leaders.

Despite their recent win, APS Bomet find themselves 14th on the table and have struggled to turn their home ground into a fortress.
They have managed just one win in their last 10 home league matches this season, a statistic that will concern their technical bench ahead of facing a free-scoring Gor Mahia side.
However, the first meeting between the two teams offers Bomet fans plenty of hope. In what was their maiden encounter, APS Bomet stunned Gor Mahia 4-1 at Nyayo National Stadium, with former AFC Leopards midfielder Hansel Ochieng’ playing a pivotal role in that emphatic victory.
That result remains one of the biggest upsets of the season and is still fresh in the minds of Gor Mahia players and supporters.
APS Bomet vs Gor Mahia
Coach Omollo believes his side has rediscovered its belief at a crucial stage of the campaign.
“We wanted a one win just to let us gain confidence. The win gave us a great rejuvenation because we have been going to games with my players under pressure of getting a win, so in our next match against Gor Mahia we have to push ourselves more and ensure we get maximum points.”

On the other hand, Gor Mahia’s assistant coach Bismark Kobi insists the team is focused on maintaining its consistency as they chase silverware on multiple fronts.
“We want to take it one match at a time and having won the FKF Cup match we want to take it a game at a time.”
A victory for Gor Mahia would see them open a six-point gap at the top, especially after AFC Leopards were held to a goalless draw by Bandari on Saturday. With revenge and crucial points at stake, Sunday’s showdown in Kericho is set to be a compelling battle.
