A humiliating 3-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in midweek finally ended Villarreal’s miserable Champions League run. The yellow submarine can now switch their full focus to La Liga.
That was their fourth defeat on the bounce a they need to bounce back to remain in the top four.
Osasuna beat Rayo Vallecano 3-1 away from home, leaving them in ninth place with 25 points. However, the last time they beat Villarreal was a 1-0 win back in 2022.
