Bandari FC return to their home ground at the Mbaraki Sports Complex to host Mathare United this Sunday in Mombasa in the final Sportpesa League fixture of the year for both sides.
This will be interim manager Razak Siwa’s second game in charge after the former head coach, Moroccan Mohammed Borji, was fired.
Bandari hope to turn the tide on a string of poor results that has seen them secure only two victories out of a possible fourteen this season.

Bandari FC seek home comfort against Mathare United
Mathare, on the other hand, have been a team of mixed results. They will be hoping to build on their midweek win against Sofapaka to close the year on a high.
The last five matches between the two sides have favored today’s hosts, the Dockers. Bandari have bagged three wins, with the remaining two ending in draws. Of concern for Mathare, however, is the fact that they have failed to score in four of those five matches.

Recently, the Dockers have struggled to get past any opponent, recording four draws and a loss to APS Bomet in their last five outings.
The Slum Boys, meanwhile, have an evenly matched run of two wins, two losses, and a draw in their last five matches. They have, however, struggled on the road, securing just one away win all season.
Bandari FC vs Mathare United team news
Ahead of the fixture, caretaker coach Razak Siwa says the boys are committed to taking all three points while at home:
“We played well in our last match against Posta. The boys gave everything, and this is a positive step towards reclaiming our identity and seeing if we can win at home.”
Mathare head coach John Kamau admitted that managing a lean squad has been difficult. He noted they must cope with their current depth until the January transfer window opens.
“We will manage the remaining two to three matches and then wait for the mid-season transfer window to see whether we can bring in quality in the frontline.”
