  • Shabana are chasing their first home victory after enduring three winless outings at the Gusii turf.

The SportPesa League Gameweek 12 continues on Saturday afternoon, with two matches lined up as Shabana FC will host Bidco United from 2 PM at the Gusii Stadium in Kisii town.

This marks the Glamour Boys return to their home turf after four consecutive away fixtures, in which they didn’t lose even a single one.

Shabana FC will also be joined by their head coach Peter Okidi, who has been away on national team duty serving as the assistant coach of the Kenya Under-17 team at the recently concluded CECAFA Championship in Ethiopia.

Shabana FC vs Bidco United preview

Shabana head into the match with a newfound strength, having lost just one of their last five matches, winning two and drawing the other two.

They have scored at least one goal in each of their last three games. The Peter Okidi-coached side will be hoping to turn around poor results at home this campaign; they have lost all three of their last home matches at the Gusii Stadium.

Bidco, on the other side, have been on a downward spiral; they have failed to win any of their last six matches, succumbing to three losses.

In that period, they only found the back of the net in one match, the 3-2 loss to Police FC at Nyayo Stadium.

Their biggest hindrance to good performance has, however, been their low-scoring nature, with just seven goals in the opening eleven matches.

The two teams have met four times since Shabana’s return to the top flight, with the home team registering two wins while Bidco has got one to their name, with the other fixture ending in a draw.
Tore Bobe collected four points from the Thika-based club in the 2024/25 season.

Any type of win for the “Glamour Boys” pushes them to third on the SportPesa League log and would give hope to the red-and-white Faithful’s of a possible trophy charge, while Anthony Akhulia’s Bidco hope to right the wrongs and find a much-needed win after a dismal run of matches in November.

Elsewhere, Kariobangi Sharks host Kenya Police FC at the Police Sacco Grounds in Nairobi, with the match slated for 1600 Hrs.
