Nairobi United goalkeeper Kevin Odour has highlighted key areas that his side needs to improve to get better results in their historic debut in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The SportPesa League side has not been able to find their footing in their Group B matches, having lost both of their opening fixtures.
They began the tournament away from home, falling 3-0 to Morocco giants Wydad Athletic Club at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.

In an attempt to return to form and secure their first win, Salim Ali’s side also narrowly lost their second match 1-0 to DR Congo’s AS Maniema Union at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, on Sunday, November 30.
Despite Nairobi United dominating proceedings, especially in the first half, they could not manage to draw first blood.
This ultimately cost them, as they conceded in the 66th minute after substitute James Mboma broke the deadlock with the winning goal, ensuring his side remained perfect in Group B.

Speaking to the press after the match, Odour whose penalty heroics sailed the team to the group stage, stated that they need to improve their work in the final third, as they created numerous chances but could not capitalize, resulting in the home defeat.
He identified a lack of composure and confidence as the main shortcomings.
We need to improve our composure and confidence in possession.
We created a lot of chances, dominated the match well, especially in the first half – I think we really played well but, when we entered the final third, the players lacked composure, which ultimately let us down today.
I think if we work more on our finishing, we will be good to go,” he explained.
After the defeat, the Football Kenya Federation Cup defending champions remain at the bottom of Group B with 0 points, having conceded four goals.
AS Maniema Union sits second with six points from two wins, Wydad leads the group also with six points, and Azam FC, having conceded fewer goals, holds third place.
The Naibois have almost seven weeks to prepare before they resume action in 2026, when they will host Azam FC of Tanzania on January 25.
