Sofapaka vs APS Bomet preview

Sofapaka will be hoping to steady their campaign when they host APS Bomet at Dandora Stadium on Saturday, 29 November 2025, from 4PM.

The match comes at a crucial stage for both sides, each seeking consistency in what has been a tough opening phase of the SportPesa League 25/26 season.

With only 11 points collected from three wins, two draws and five defeats, Batoto ba Mungu sit 14th on the log and badly need a response in front of their home supporters.

Their defensive lapses have been a major concern, and facing a spirited APS Bomet side makes the task even more demanding.

The pressure is already growing on the technical bench to turn around the club’s fortunes after an inconsistent run.

APS Bomet, on their part, arrive in Nairobi riding high on confidence after producing one of the shocks of the season—an emphatic 4-1 victory over record champions Gor Mahia at Nyayo Stadium.

The win was particularly significant as it handed Gor Mahia their worst league defeat in 19 years and marked APS Bomet’s most convincing performance since earning promotion.

Despite their struggles in their debut season, APS Bomet currently sit 17th with eight points from nine matches, having registered two wins, two draws and five losses. Their recent performance, however, suggests a team beginning to find its rhythm.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the contest.

APS Bomet assistant coach Benedict Wanjala believes the morale within his squad is at an all-time high following their memorable victory over Gor Mahia.

Getting that win against such a team with most players in the national team is great motivation, we haven’t been playing badly but we’ve not just been taking our chances and we did it against Gor Mahia.

And now going into our next match against Sofapaka in Nairobi, where we’ve not lost away, I think we hope for good results because we are moving into this game with confidence from our win,” said Wanjala.

The match kicks off at 4PM and will be aired live on Azam Sports. Fans attending at Dandora Stadium will pay an entry fee of KES 200.
