The Confédération Africaine de Football has confirmed the list of officials who will take charge of matches during the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON Morocco 2025), scheduled for 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
Among the appointed officials, four Kenyans have earned places on the prestigious roster, marking another important milestone for Kenyan refereeing on the continental stage.

The tournament, Africa’s premier football competition, will feature a total of 73 match officials.
These include 28 referees, 31 assistant referees and 14 video match officials.
Kenya quartet appointed among the match officials for the upcoming AFCON 2025 tournament
The group brings together some of the most experienced referees from across the continent, many of whom have officiated major CAF competitions, including previous AFCON tournaments, Champions League fixtures and continental club championships.
Kenya will be represented by Peter Kamaku as a referee, Mimisa Dickens as a video match official, and two assistant referees, Gilbert Cheruiyot and Stephen Yiembe.
Their inclusion highlights the continued growth and recognition of Kenyan officials at the highest levels of African football.
All appointed officials are required to report to Morocco on 15 December 2025, where they will undergo an intensive preparatory programme led by CAF’s Referees Department.
This preparation will include technical assessments, physical endurance tests, and theoretical evaluations to ensure that every official is fully ready for the demands of the tournament.
