KCB vs Bidco United preview

KCB were held to a 1-1 draw by Bandari in Mombasa, a result that extended their frustrating run of form.

Bidco United, meanwhile, fell 1-0 to Tusker at the same Kasarani Annex, a defeat that exposed their growing struggle in front of goal.

Bidco United head into the match looking for their third win of the season. The Oilers have so far registered two victories, two draws, and two losses, placing them 9th on the table with 11 points.

Despite their inconsistency, Bidco have shown admirable discipline at the back they have kept four clean sheets in six matches, largely thanks to the reliability of highly-rated goalkeeper Emuria Issa.

The challenge, however, has been at the opposite end of the pitch. With only five goals scored this season, their attack has lacked conviction.

KCB vs Bidco United team news

Coach Anthony Akhulia did not hide his frustrations after the loss to Tusker, admitting that inefficiency in the final third has cost them valuable points.

“We have failed to score in two matches which is a big concern for us. We created a number of chances against Tusker but we have to be clinical in front of goal and get back to winning ways,”he said.

KCB, on the other hand, find themselves in unfamiliar territory under experienced tactician Robert Matano. After a promising start to the season, the Bankers have struggled to maintain momentum.

They have only one win in their last five league matches and are yet to taste victory at home this season, with both of their wins coming on the road.

With seven points from seven games, KCB sit 14th on the log a position that will worry their supporters given the ambition and expectations surrounding the squad.

The Bankers have scored six goals and conceded seven, managing only two clean sheets in their opening fixtures.

Their defensive lapses have proved costly, while their attack, though energetic, has struggled for consistency. Matano will be hoping that playing at home despite the lack of wins so far can spark a turnaround.
