Newly appointed Kenya U17 national team head coach, William Muluya, has named the final 25-man squad that will take part in the Under-17 CECAFA tournament scheduled for November 15 to December 2, 2025, in Ethiopia.

The tournament will also serve as the Under-17 AFCON Qualifiers.

The squad has mainly been selected from different schools across the country. Some of the notable names included are: Ongata Senior School’s Raphael Omondi.

Omondi recently joined SportPesa League side Kariobangi Sharks from FKF Division Two club Lucky Summer Sports.

In the squad also is Bwake Boys Goalkeeper Golan Oliech. Oliech was part of the team that featured in the same competition in 2024 in Tanzania.

The Junior Stars are placed in Group A alongside Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan, and Rwanda. The two finalists of this edition will qualify for the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Junior Stars will start their title quest against Somalia on November 18, before playing Rwanda, South Sudan, and Ethiopia on the 21st, 24th, and 27th of November 2025, respectively.
