Bidco United seized an early advantage and held on to secure a narrow 1-0 victory over Nairobi United on Monday afternoon at the Sportpesa Arena in Murang’a, marking their second win of the Sportpesa League 2025/26 season.
The hosts burst out of the gates, finding the net after just one minute. The opening goal came from Herman Ngala, who finished expertly following a fluid build-up on the right wing.
Victor Kunyili was the catalyst, blistering past Naibois defender Lennox Ogutu before delivering a low cross into the area. The ball fell perfectly for an unmarked Ngala, who made no mistake from close range.

Nairobi United grew into the game and created a major scare for the hosts around the half-hour mark.
Frank Ouya whipped a dangerous cross into the box that found Isaac Omweri, but his shot sailed wide of the target. The visitors continued to dominate possession as they pressed for an equalizer.
Despite Naibois’s efforts to mount a comeback before the interval, Antony Akhulia’s squad stood firm in the backline.

They defended resolutely, effectively clearing their lines and dominating the second balls to preserve their slender lead heading into halftime.
The second half resumed with Nicholas Muyoti’s side pushing forward with renewed urgency, but they found Bidco’s defensive unit impenetrable. The home team effectively stifled their attacks as the clock ticked past the hour mark.

Despite Muyoti’s attempts to change the game with substitutions, his team could not find a breakthrough. The match concluded with Nairobi United suffering their first defeat of their top-tier campaign, while Bidco United celebrated a second consecutive win to maintain a perfect start.
The result propels Bidco to fourth place in the table with six points, while Nairobi United sits in 13th with three points as the league pauses for the FIFA international break.
